K-2 Part-Time Academic Tutor

Zoe Learning House is seeking a passionate K-2 Part-Time Academic Tutor for our 2025-2026 hybrid program. We're a hybrid Christian microschool that combines hands-on, creative education with outdoor learning and strong family partnerships.

Position Highlights:

• Lead literacy and math small-group instruction (ages 5-7)

• Tuesdays and Thursdays (can be combined with Wednesday enrichment for a 3-day position): 9:30am-3:30pm

• $126 per day ($21/hour) + additional benefits

• Academic year: August 14, 2025 - May 14, 2026

• Small group, mixed-age in a caring environment

What You'll Do: Build foundational literacy and math skills through engaging, hands-on instruction! Curriculum guides and training provided. You'll teach reading to kindergarten through second graders in small groups and support science and social studies lessons. You'll also help prepare student showcases every 4-6 weeks to celebrate learning. Come join our supportive and innovative team!

We're Looking For:

• A committed Christian who can share their personal testimony

• Bachelor's degree preferred (education field preferred)

  • We also consider each candidate holistically, including if they are a current student in education/ministry-related fields, have homeschooling experience, associate’s degree, education course work, separate certifications, etc., and are also teachable/proficient in classroom management and leading groups of children.

• Experience teaching foundational reading skills to K-2 students

• 2+ years classroom/group teaching experience

• Strong classroom management skills

• Love for arts, nature, and beautiful children's literature

• Flexible, collaborative, and excited about innovative education

• Teaching certificate preferred, but not required
